  • Posted ideas which are then copied and re-posted are duplicate ideas. IdeaWorth does not condone plagiarism or abuse of copyright.

IdeaWorth cannot be held responsible or liable when it comes to posting of duplicate ideas. Duplicates which are brought to our attention are removed at our discretion.

IdeaWorth is about creativity, originality and the pursuit of knowledge. We understand people often come up with new ideas based on ideas they have read or heard somewhere else.

Improving on another idea is encouraged. In general, an idea is not a duplicate if

    a) it has developed from another idea with an aim to improve it and b) paraphrases the original idea and differs from it in at least one feature.

We kindly ask that you avoid copying and pasting what other people have posted or any copyrighted material.

Support Ideas

  • How do I support ideas?    Back to top
  • You have to be a premium member to support an idea. By supporting an idea you fund its originator and place your money where your good word is.

Supporting ideas makes IdeaWorth the world's best and most exciting brainwork marketplace. Support is a two-way process:

You support and fund the ideas you like most. Likewise, those who like your ideas the most fund you.

Click on the Support Idea link that accompanies every idea description and begin supporting ideas today.

  • How are my ideas rated?    Back to top
  • Your idea gets rated everytime someone supports it. There are 5 categories to support and rate an idea. Each category rates an idea for being:

    1) original   2) creative   3) brilliant   4) inspiring   5) persuasive

The above rating system shows how people think of your idea and why they support it. The amount of support an idea receives is also indicated by the red-star system.

The more total support an idea receives, the more red-stars it gets. An idea gets:

if total support ranges from $1 to $10
if total support ranges from $10 to $100
if total support ranges from $100 to $1,000
if total support ranges from $1000 to $10,000
if total support ranges from $10,000 to $1,000,000

Futures

  • What is a future?    Back to top
  • A future is an estimate on the future worth of an idea. You can buy a future and profit if you estimate correctly the worth of an idea 45 days in the future.

The moment a new idea gets posted, a future on that idea becomes instantly available to buy.

On day 45, the future expires. The following day the future is reset and becomes available to buy again.

All futures become available to buy again every 45 days.

Futures is a great and innovative feature to try. This is why:

    • Buy for as low as $1: this is the minimum price
    • Buy at any price above $1: you decide the price
    • Make a profit: when you make a correct estimate

  • How do I buy a future?    Back to top
  • You have to be a premium member to buy a future. Click on the Buy Future link that accompanies the description
    of every future.

You will be asked to give your estimate of the future worth of
the idea and indicate the price you want to buy it for:

Make sure you have enough funds in your account to buy the future for the price you indicate. Click on the link Add Funds to add funds in your account.

You must buy a future within two weeks from the date it opens for sale. Last Buy shows the last day you can purchase the future

  • How do I profit from buying a future?    Back to top
  • You profit if you correctly estimate within a 5% range the future worth of the idea on the date the future expires.

The amount of profit you can make depends on the number of buyers and the total funds spent on buying the future.

Buyers who have made a correct estimate share all the profits among them, proportionately to the price each one paid to buy the future.

Let's illustrate the share of profits with an example

Suppose there are a total of 6 buyers of the same future. 3 buyers (Adam, Bruce and Caryn) made a correct estimate.

Adam bought the future for $10, Bruce for $20 and Caryn for $30 for a total of $10+$20+$30 = $60

The other 3 buyers (Dick, Eric and Freddy) made a wrong estimate, therefore, there will be no profit for them.

Dick bought the future for $15, Bruce for $25 and Caryn for $35 for a total of $15+$25+$35 = $75

Adam, Bruce and Caryn will share among them a gross $75 profit minus a 5% commission and a 10¢ royalty fee out of every sale that goes to the originator of the idea.

    The net profit they will share is (75*95%) - (6*$0.10) = $70.65

Adam had decided to pay $10 to buy the future so his proportionate share of the profits is (10/60)*$70.65 = $11.78

Bruce had decided to pay $20 to buy the future so his proportionate share of the profits is (20/60)*$70.65 = $23.55

Caryn had decided to pay $30 to buy the future so her proportionate share of the profits is (30/60)*$70.65 = $35.33

  • What is an invalid future?    Back to top
  • A future is termed invalid if: a) there are no buyers for it and/or b) all of the buyers' future worth estimates fall in the same range

In the case of b) above, money spent to buy a future is fully refunded to the buyer at expiry.

Purchasing a future is an online entertainment service offered to our premium members only.

Futures enhance the excitement and experience of participating into the IdeaWorth community and concept.

Futures are not and should not be confused or associated with any kind of investment or betting activities.
